LED Light Therapy in Blackburn
Professional light therapy tailored to support healthier-looking, more balanced skin.
At Rejuvenating Skin & Aesthetic Services in Blackburn, our MediLUX LED Light Therapy uses carefully selected wavelengths of light to support a range of skin concerns, including breakouts, visible redness and signs of skin ageing.
Whether you're looking for a dedicated LED treatment or additional support alongside your existing skincare program, we tailor your treatment to your individual skin needs.
Our approach begins with understanding your skin, so the treatment you receive is appropriate for your concerns and goals.

What Would You Like to Improve?
Your skin can have different needs at different times. MediLUX LED Light Therapy offers a gentle, non-invasive treatment option that can be incorporated into a personalised approach to skin health.
Breakout-Prone Skin
Selected LED wavelengths may help reduce inflammatory breakouts and support clearer-looking skin as part of a broader acne management plan.
Redness & Skin Comfort
LED Light Therapy may help calm the appearance of redness and support skin comfort, including during recovery from selected professional skin treatments.
Skin Rejuvenation
Red and near-infrared LED treatments may support collagen-related processes and help improve the appearance of fine lines and overall skin quality over time.
Why Choose Rejuvenating Skin for LED Light Therapy?
We believe that effective skin treatments begin with understanding your individual skin rather than choosing a treatment simply because it's popular.
At our Blackburn clinic, we use professional MediLUX LED technology alongside considered skin assessment and personalised treatment planning.
Personalised LED Treatments
We select the most appropriate light wavelengths and treatment approach according to your skin concerns, goals and suitability.
Professional MediLUX Technology
Our MediLUX system offers five different light wavelengths, allowing us to tailor LED treatments rather than rely on one standard setting for everyone.
A Complete Approach to Skin Health
LED can be enjoyed as a standalone treatment or incorporated into selected skin programs, supporting a more comprehensive approach to professional skincare.
What Is LED Light Therapy?
LED Light Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of visible and near-infrared light to interact with biological processes within the skin.
Different wavelengths have different properties. Some have been studied for their ability to support acne-prone skin, while others may assist with inflammation, skin repair processes and visible signs of ageing.
Unlike treatments that intentionally exfoliate or create controlled injury to the skin, LED Light Therapy does not rely on removing the skin's surface to achieve its effects.
At Rejuvenating Skin & Aesthetic Services, we use MediLUX, a professional LED system offering five wavelengths that can be selected individually or combined according to your treatment needs.
Here’s What Your LED Light Therapy Journey Looks Like
From understanding your skin to selecting your treatment and providing ongoing guidance, we aim to make your LED experience comfortable and straightforward.

01

Step
Consultation & Assessment
Before treatment, we'll review your skin concerns, relevant health history and suitability for LED Light Therapy.
For new skin clients, this begins with a professional skin consultation. Existing clients receive an appropriate skin check before their session.
We'll then select a suitable MediLUX treatment protocol for your individual skin needs.

02

Step
Your Treatment
Your skin is prepared, appropriate eye protection is provided and the MediLUX panel is positioned over the treatment area.

Your selected light protocol is delivered for the recommended treatment time, commonly around 20 minutes.
Most clients find LED treatments comfortable and relaxing, although light sensitivity and individual experiences vary.

03

Step
Finishing Care
Following your LED session, we'll complete any appropriate finishing skincare and discuss aftercare where required.

If you're undertaking a course of treatments, we'll review your skin's response and guide you on an appropriate treatment schedule.
LED Light Therapy, Your Way
LED Light Therapy can be a treatment in its own right or a complementary part of a personalised skin program.

A dedicated MediLUX session may suit clients wanting a non-invasive option to support particular skin concerns. For others, LED may be recommended alongside selected treatments such as personalised medi-facials, professional peels or skin needling, when appropriate for the treatment performed and your skin's condition. Changes in skin appearance may develop gradually, and some concerns benefit from a planned series of sessions.

We'll help you understand where LED fits into your overall skin goals rather than recommending unnecessary treatments.

LED Light Therapy FAQs
Answers to common questions about MediLUX LED Light Therapy, treatment suitability, expected results and what happens during your appointment.
What skin concerns can LED Light Therapy help with?
LED Light Therapy can be used to support a range of skin concerns, including breakouts, visible redness, fine lines and early signs of skin ageing. It may also help support the skin's natural recovery processes and can be incorporated into selected professional skin treatments. At Rejuvenating Skin, we tailor your MediLUX LED treatment to your individual skin needs, with the aim of supporting healthier-looking, more balanced skin over time.
How long does a MediLUX LED treatment take?
You'll spend approximately 20 minutes enjoying your MediLUX LED treatment. We also allow time to prepare your skin beforehand and apply finishing skincare, so your complete appointment will take a little longer.
How many LED Light Therapy treatments will I need?
While a single LED session can be a lovely addition to your skincare routine, a series of treatments is generally recommended when working towards improvements in specific skin concerns. The number of sessions will depend on what you're hoping to achieve and how your skin responds. We'll help you establish a treatment plan that suits your skin and your goals.
Is LED Light Therapy painful?
Not at all for most people. LED Light Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive treatment where you can simply lie back and relax. You may notice some brightness or mild warmth from the light, but the treatment should feel comfortable. Protective eyewear is provided throughout your session.
What if I find LED light too bright?
Some LED lights can appear quite bright, even with protective eyewear. If you find the light uncomfortable, please let us know. Depending on your skin concerns, we may be able to use near-infrared light instead, which isn't visibly bright like red or blue light. Your comfort is important to us, and we'll always consider what feels comfortable and is appropriate for your skin.
Is LED Light Therapy suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes, LED Light Therapy can be a gentle option for sensitive or reactive skin. Certain wavelengths may help soothe the appearance of redness, support skin comfort and encourage the skin's natural recovery processes. As everyone's skin is different, we'll ensure the treatment is appropriate for your individual skin needs.
Is there downtime after LED Light Therapy?
Generally, no. LED Light Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that typically requires no downtime, so you can return to your usual activities straight after your appointment. If LED is combined with another skin treatment, we'll guide you through any aftercare specific to that treatment.
Can LED Light Therapy be combined with other skin treatments?
Absolutely! LED Light Therapy can be a wonderful addition to many professional skin treatments, including personalised facials, skin needling, peels, RF Skin Tightening and Hollywood Carbon Facials. Depending on your skin's needs and the treatment performed, LED may be incorporated to support skin comfort, recovery and overall skin health. We'll recommend the most suitable combination for your skin.
Is LED Light Therapy suitable for everyone?
LED Light Therapy is suitable for many people, but there are some circumstances where treatment may not be recommended. Certain medical conditions and medications can increase sensitivity to light, so we'll ask a few simple health questions before your appointment to ensure LED Light Therapy is appropriate for you.
How much does LED Light Therapy cost?
A standalone MediLUX LED Light Therapy treatment is $89. We also offer LED treatment packages for clients looking to enjoy regular sessions, with package options available to purchase directly through our clinic. Feel free to ask us about our packages and pricing during your visit, or contact us for more information.
Can I book LED Light Therapy if I've never visited your clinic before?
Absolutely! New clients are welcome to book our standalone MediLUX LED Light Therapy treatment for $89. You don't need to book our full New Client Skin Experience first. We'll simply check your skin concerns and treatment suitability before getting started.
Do I need to do anything before my LED appointment?
There's no special preparation needed before your LED treatment. We recommend arriving with little or no makeup, as your skin will need to be cleansed before treatment. Please also let us know about any medications you're taking or anything that may make your skin sensitive to light.
